Update for financial intermediaries in response to the covid-19 crisis (as at 11 January 2022):

The EIF has published an information notice for existing financial intermediaries regarding the terms of the Call for Expression of Interest, including in relation to undertakings in difficulty and maturity of SME transactions. Please check the full details in the notice.

The Silesia EIF Fund of Funds of EUR 91 million has been set up by the Silesia Voivodship to catalyze private investments and facilitate access to finance to SMEs in the Silesia Region in Poland. It is financed from the Regional Operational Programme for the Silesia Voivodship for the programming period 2014-2020 utilising European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) resources. Financial instruments available for the Silesia Region through the Fund of Funds

EUR 91 million Silesia EIF Fund of Fund makes available the following financial instruments:

  • Portfolio risk sharing loan, and
  • First loss portfolio guarantee.

Both instruments are targeting SME financing needs in most sectors of the economy, and are co-financed with ERDF. The instruments are provided free of charge for the SMEs.

EIF is currently seeking to select financial intermediaries to implement the above-mentioned financial instruments.

Who is eligible* to become a financial intermediary under Silesia EIF Fund of Funds?

The eligible applicants are financial or credit institutions or loan (debt) or guarantee funds, in each case, duly authorised to carry out lending or guarantee or leasing activities according to the applicable legislation, operating in Silesia.

How to apply to Silesia EIF Fund of Funds?

The Call documentation for the Expression of Interest to be downloaded below contain details of the application process, the required contents of the Expressions of Interest*, and the indicative terms and conditions of the relevant financial instrument. The Expressions of Interest can be submitted until 14/07/2017. For more information about the eligibility and exclusion criteria please refer to the Call for Expression of Interest below.
