We are processing job applications via the EIB Group Job Portal (filter for the EIF). We can only accept your application if you are a national of one of the Member States of the European Union, or of a candidate country which has already started accession negotiations (Montenegro, Serbia, Turkey, Albania and North Macedonia). Read more about eligibility and languages at EIB Group here.

1. Find your dream job

Browse the vacancies on our EIB Group recruitment platform. See anything you like? Create an account and apply. Note that we don’t accept spontaneous applications – but you can sign up to receive e-mail alerts on new job openings.

2. Submit your application

Have you read the job description in detail? If you feel you are the perfect match, we’d be happy to take you on an application journey where you will be able to follow the status of your candidacy in real time. Check our summary on the hiring process here. Please write your CV and application in English.

3. Show us your skills

Ticking all the boxes so far? Good news! During our standard application process, you will undergo several steps of assessment. Get ready for an online test, a job-specific interview (in a phone or video call) and a technical test. Browse through our pages to be well prepared about the EIF’s missionour productsour success stories, and more.

4. Let’s talk

After you pass the screening, it’s time we speak face to face (or, well, through the video screen). Usually, you’ll have a joint interview of around 1 hour with your future manager, EIF colleagues and HR. You can also ask your open questions at this stage! Based on all tests and interviews, the selection panel makes a hiring recommendation.

5. Here’s our offer

Well done – you are the selected candidate and you receive a conditional offer. If you accept it, you will undergo a medical assessment attesting your fitness for the position, and we will perform an external pre-employment screening. After successful completion, and signature of your employment contract, you will get access to our newcomers’ portal where you find plenty of information about your move to Luxembourg and everything you need to arrange before your first day.

6. Your first day

Welcome to the EIF! Time to meet your new colleagues and view your office. In some areas of the EIF, we have open space offices whilst others are more closely organised by business area / teams. On your first day, you will get to know other newcomers and ask any further questions you have during an HR induction day. That’s what we call a good start!

Note: Following the recent withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union, we are updating the relevant EIF.org pages.
