Building and developing risk capital markets

We provide financing through equity investments in funds (intermediated equity) and through direct co-investments in selected companies. Our institutional mandates alongside national and regional equity products tackle the fundraising gap for venture capital (VC), private equity (PE), and private credit (PC) funds, so they have more capital to invest in European SMEs. We also back investments in infrastructure projects.

The EIF selects funds and partners based on a standard process involving application and due diligence. If you are applying for an initiative other than InvestEU - and as long as not otherwise specified in the call for expression of interest - please use our EIF generic investment proposal application form to submit your pitch deck via the link below. Should the investment opportunity meet our criteria, your team will be invited to present the investment proposal. Our teams will allocate the suitable source of funding at a later stage in the assessment procedure.
