EIF’s recruitment procedure
Applications are evaluated by HR professionals and the Hiring manager against the criteria for the job. A short-list is compiled and selected candidates are invited for tests and interviews. On occasion a phone interview may precede the invitation to tests. The selection process varies depending on the level of the position for which the application is made.
EIF does not recruit through European Union-type competitions and does not accept spontaneous applications.

Which nationalities can be eligible to work at EIF?
We can only accept your application if you are a national of one of the Member States of the European Union, or of a candidate country which has already started accession negotiations (Montenegro, Serbia, Turkey, Albania and North Macedonia). The possession of a European Union work permit is not sufficient by itself to be eligible for employment at EIF. Read more about eligibility and languages at EIB Group here.

What is the time limit for submitting an application?
The EIB Group job portal  is the sole point of reference. Applications are accepted for as long as the vacancy is advertised on this website. Certain specialised sites may also publish advertisements, although EIF is not responsible for any delays in updating EIF-related information on such sites.
Additional information (deadline, post not immediately vacant, establishment of a reserve list of candidates, type of contract, etc.) are included in the advertisement.

What types of contracts are offered?
We offer permanent and fixed-term contracts. On an ad-hoc basis, EIF offers internships to graduate and postgraduate students.
