EIF has signed a guarantee deal with Čačanska Banka allowing the bank to provide additional finance to SMEs in Serbia. Thanks to the CIP transaction entrepreneurs will have easier access to finance, benefiting from substantially reduced collateral requirements, reduced pricing, and a 100% financing rate. Čačanska Banka will also extend loans to a new client group, start-ups with up to two years’ business history and with less than 10 employees. This transaction generates a new portfolio of loans worth EUR 16m primarily for investments and/or working capital. Čačanska Banka is a regional commercial bank working mainly in Central Serbia, and among its shareholders are the international financial institutions IFC, EFSE and EBRD.
