EUR 20m invested in France's "Fonds pour le Capital Investissement Régional"

Today EIF has signed a commitment to invest EUR 20 million in Fonds pour le Capital Investissement Régional (FCIR). This new EUR 70m fund will take equity shares in regional venture capital funds targeting early stage SMEs across France. FCIR is to be managed by the CDC-PME. Other investors in this Fund include the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations (CDC) Group and the San Paolo IMI Group through its NHS subsidiary.
