JEREMIE - A new way of using EU Structural Funds to promote SME access to finance

  •
    Release date: 20 February 2012

In the period 2007-2013 the JEREMIE initiative (“Joint European Resources for Micro to Medium Enterprises”) offered EU Member States, through their national or regional Managing Authorities, the opportunity to use part of their European Union (EU) Structural Funds to finance small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by means of equity, loans or guarantees, through a revolving Holding Fund acting as an umbrella fund.

This initiative was developed by the European Commission (EC) and the European Investment Fund (EIF), which is part of the European Investment Bank (EIB) Group.
