Sweden is among the European leaders in access to finance, and EIF programmes help reinforce this strength with instruments tailored to national needs. Equity co-investments are complemented by COSME and InvestEU guarantees, supporting digitalisation, innovation, and sustainable growth across the Swedish SME sector.

In 2017, Elsa received equity investment from Norrsken, an EIF‑backed VC under the EU’s Investment Plan for Europe, accelerating clinical trials, product development, and its commercialisation across Europe and the US.
