Private equity award: the EIF as a market catalyst

2025 - LP of the Year - Gold award

On 26 November 2025, the EIF won the Private Equity Exchange LP of the Year – Gold award (from 12 nominees), in recognition of our long-standing commitment to the European private equit market, and the cross‑team efforts in developing this ecosystem throgh the orchestrated efforts of our investment, legal, and risk & compliance team. The EIF was represented by Jacques Darcy - senior regional representative for France - here at the award ceremony.

Securitisation awards: the EIF as a standard setter

The EIF and the EIB Group have received multiple industry awards for their work in securitisation, reflecting their role in supporting innovative market solutions, mobilising private capital, and advancing EU policy objectives such as SME financing and the green transition.

2026 - GlobalCapital European Securitisation Awards: ESG Investor of the Year

Award achieved by the European Investment Fund following a record year with over €6bn of investments, supporting, among others, the deployment of close to €3bn in new green financing across Europe.

2026 - GlobalCapital European Securitisation Awards: CEE Deal of the Year (Santander Leasing S.A.)

Award achieved by the European Investment Fundfor a synthetic securitisation transaction in Poland. The capital relief generated by this transaction helps boosting SME competitiveness, support green investments, and promote gender balance financing.

2025 - emeafinance Achievement Awards: Most innovative securitisation in EMEA

Enpal’s €240mn solar asset-backed securitisation, guaranteed by EIF, was recognised as EMEA’s most innovative securitisation, highlighting a pioneering structure supporting residential solar financing and Europe’s green transition.

2025 - emeafinance Achievement Awards: Best securitisation house in Europe

EIB Group was named Best Securitisation House in Europe at the 2025 emeafinance Achievement Awards, recognising its leading role in structuring and supporting securitisation transactions across European markets.

2025 - GlobalCapital European Securitisation Awards: ESG Investor of the Year

EIB Group was named ESG Investor of the Year by GlobalCapital, recognising its green securitisation operations supporting climate action through investments in renewable energy, energy efficiency, sustainable housing and transport.

2024 - emeafinance Achievement Awards: Best securitisation deal in south-eastern Europe:Procredit

At emeafinance’s 2024 Achievement Awards, the EIB Group won Best Securitisation Deal in South‑Eastern Europe for the ProCredit SRT transaction, supporting additional lending to SMEs in the region through regulatory capital relief.

emeafinance’s 2024 Achievement Awards named the EIB Group Best Securitisation House in CEE for its leading SRT/ABS activity across Central & Eastern Europe, delivering repeat transactions that release bank capital for SME and green lending.

2024 - SCI Capital Relief Trades Awards: ESG Transaction of the Year - LBBW

Structured Credit Investor’s 2024 Capital Relief Trade Awards named the EIB Group ESG Transaction of the Year for the LBBW Green SRT, featuring a €175m EIF guarantee (counter‑guaranteed by EIB) on an SME/mid-cap loan portfolio to unlock renewable‑energy lending.

2023 - SCI Capital Relief Trades Awards: Investor of the year (Honourable mention)

Structured Credit Investor gave the EIB Group an honourable mention for Investor of the Year at the 2023 SCI Capital Relief Trades Awards, recognising its continued SRT/CRT investing and market‑building role.

2023 - SCI Risk Sharing Award: European transaction of the year (Honourable mention)

In 2023, the SCI Risk Sharing Awards gave an honourable mention in the ‘European Transaction of the Year’ category for the Santander Leasing transaction, recognising its excellence and impact in risk sharing/securitisation.

2019 - SCI Capital Relief Trades Awards: Investor of the year

In 2019, Structured Credit Investor named the EIF Investor of the Year at the SCI Capital Relief Trades Awards for unmatched support to Europe’s CRT/SRT market, backing benchmark synthetic securitisations and piloting three SME-loan trades with a third‑party credit fund.

2016 - ROOF Leasing Austria: Best securitisation deal in Europe

In 2016, emeafinance named ROOF Leasing Austria S.A. Comp. 2016 Best Securitisation Deal in Europe, recognising the €440m Raiffeisen‑Leasing ABS supported by the EIB (€150m) and an EIF guarantee backing ING’s €250m senior tranche.

Other institutional awards

Relais pour la vie – Fondation Cancer

The objective of the “Trophées” is to further support the Foundation and the fight against cancer by providing essential funding for research.

The EIF’s repeated recognition with the Trophée de l’Espoir in the Institutions category reflects its sustained commitment to Fondation Cancer’s Relais pour la Vie initiative. Awarded in recognition of fundraising efforts supporting cancer research, these distinctions highlight EIF’s long-standing engagement in collective action, solidarity and social responsibility over the years.

The EIF at #30yearsbold

AECM - Go Forest certificate

To mark the EIF’s 30th anniversary and celebrate its partnership with AECM, 54 trees were planted through Go Forest — one for each AECM member and partner, plus a dedicated anniversary tree.

This symbolic initiative reflects the shared values of collaboration, long-term impact and environmental responsibility, while reaffirming a common commitment to a more sustainable future. We thank the AECM members for this thoughtful anniversary gift - and for their cooperation throughout the EIF's 30 years of activity. Onwards and upwards!
