The VC Factor: Start-up profiles
The first edition of our flagship publication “The VC Factor” looked at VC-backed start-ups located in the European Union. The report revealed unique insights into the characteristics and post-investment performance of around 9,000 firms that received venture capital backing in the period of 2007-15.
Our chart of the month from The VC Factor shows that essentially, start-up growth can be sorted in five profiles – laggards, commoners, all-rounders, visionaries and superstars. Laggards dwindle, commoners grow mildly, all-rounders record considerable progress across all indicators, visionaries’ intangibles skyrocket and finally, superstars’ growth is astronomical on all fronts.
