Supporting SMEs in 2012 - A joint report of the European Commission and the European Investment Bank Group

On 2ndn May 2013 in Dublin, at the SME Finance Forum, the European Commission and the EIB Group (the European Investment Bank and the European Investment Fund) jointly presented this report on their activities facilitating access to finance for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in 2012, recognising their key role as the engine of economic growth in Europe.

The report summarises the numerous measures implemented by the EIB Group as well as the measures provided within the framework of the European Commission's initiatives, such as the Competitiveness and Innovation Programme (CIP), the European Progress Microfinance Facility, The Risk Sharing Instrument Facility (RSI) or the Joint European Resources for Micro to Medium Enterprises (JEREMIE).
