Nutrend: Inspired by life. Perfected by science.

In just a few years, Nutrend Bulgaria has undergone a remarkable transformation — from being the largest importer of nutritional supplements in the country to becoming a modern manufacturer with a fully equipped, state-of-the-art production facility.

“In 2019, we made a strategic decision to focus on developing and producing our own brands. Today, our portfolio includes capsules, tablets, powders, liquid shots, hydrogel packs, and other innovative formats for sports nutrition and wellbeing,” says Miladin Stoyanov, Production Manager at the company.

In addition to its own brands, Nutrend Bulgaria is also a trusted partner for numerous local and international clients, producing high-quality supplements under their private labels. “It’s a big responsibility, but also a mark of trust. Our partners rely on us because we deliver consistently high quality and flexibility,” adds Stoyanov.

Today, Nutrend Bulgaria serves a wide range of customers — from active athletes, professional sports clubs and federations, to people simply striving to feel healthier and more energetic. “We work with leading nutritionists to develop formulas aligned with the latest scientific trends and consumer needs. The market is evolving fast — people are now more informed and health-conscious than ever, and interest in supplements has skyrocketed after the pandemic,” explains Stoyanov. According to him, the industry has experienced a ninefold growth in just the past five years.

Having its own production facility allows Nutrend Bulgaria to maintain the highest quality and safety standards. The company holds all key national, European, and international certifications — including ISO and FDA registration. “Certification is more than a requirement — it’s a symbol of trust and a guarantee of safety for our clients,” he emphasizes.

A decisive moment in Nutrend Bulgaria’s growth came with financing backed by the EU and provided through the Bulgarian Development Bank. The funding enabled the purchase of new machinery and the implementation of advanced automation, fundamentally increasing efficiency and output. “Today, we produce in one hour what used to take an entire day. Thanks to the new equipment, eight out of ten processes are now automated, and our production capacity has nearly doubled,” Stoyanov explains.

Looking ahead, Nutrend Bulgaria is planning the construction of a new production building. The project aims to expand both the company’s manufacturing portfolio and storage capacity, while also enabling the launch of a new functional beverage line — further strengthening Nutrend Bulgaria’s position as a versatile and innovative producer in the health and nutrition industry.

“For us, this financing wasn’t just a loan — it was a partnership that empowered us to grow, innovate, and prove that Bulgarian manufacturing can compete at the highest European level,” concludes Miladin Stoyanov.
