European Investment Fund renews its supports to high tech Scottish early stage fund.

The European Investment Fund announces a cornerstone investment in Pentech Ventures II, a leading early stage software fund based in Glasgow. 

The fund will focus on early stage software companies with high growth potential in both UK and Ireland, with the aim of developing them into globally successful entities.  The fund has reached a second closing of over GBP 40m. 

With this investment made under the European Commission Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme (CIP-GIF1), EIF, which had already invested in the manager's first fund, is able to renew its support to a top quality player in the UK high tech sector. GIF1 aims to help businesses with their establishment or early stages of development.
