How to apply to be an Intermediary
Institutions should proceed to write a formal Application for one or more of Loan, Micro-credit, or Equity Guarantee Windows. The formal Application must be based on the relevant Application Information that is available for downloading at the bottom of this page.

Application information contains:

• 1- Pre-Selection Procedure: detailed information on how Applications are treated by EIF and the European Commission;
• 2- The relevant Guarantee Policy and Operational Guidelines: details of the guarantee product;
• 3- Minimum Information Requirements: in preparing the Application, applicants must address all of the points outlined in this section.

Selection procedure
Before sending EIF a formal Application (as detailed at the bottom of this page), interested institutions should download the attached document containing a Preliminary Information questionnaire. This is not part of the formal Application. The completed Preliminary Information questionnaire should be e-mailed to cip.guarantees@eif.org

EIF will pre-select Applications and propose them to the European Commission for approval.

By pre-selecting Applications for proposal to the Commission, EIF does not bind itself to entering into an EU Guarantee or any other agreement with the applicant institution. Applications will be considered in chronological order of receipt.
