European Recovery Programme (ERP)-EIF Dachfonds

The European Recovery Programme (ERP)-EIF Dachfonds is an EUR 500m fund of funds (Dachfonds) investing in venture capital funds focussing in  high-tech companies in Germany (in early stages -seed, A/B rounds- and/or Expansion/Development stages) to support the development of the German venture capital sector.

EIF manages the facility on behalf of the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi).

EIF is a long-term and pro-active investor, acting as a commercial investor, seeking an appropriate return on its investments.

The ERP-EIF Dachfonds:

  • Seeks attractive financial returns
  • Helps structuring and improving the business proposition of Venture Capital teams
  • Is a pari passu cornerstone investor for commercially viable teams
  • Promotes best industry practice (fund structures, governance)

ERP covers all technology areas (ICT, Life Sciences, energy-related, emerging and converging technologies).

Geography

Funds are not restricted to invest solely in German companies, although the main focus of investments should be in Germany.

ERP invests in early stage and development companies, namely, Initial investments in early stages (seed, A/B rounds) and/or Expansion/Development stages.
