EIF Christmas Donation to E.S.P.E.R.E.

As an alternative to Christmas cards, this year EIF staff have chosen to donate to E.S.P.E.R.E. (Education, Soutien et Parrainage des Enfants des Rues en Equateur); an independent and non-profit association based in Luxembourg, which aims to support street children in Ecuador. The association is working together with the Salesian Fathers in Quito to sponsor street children and children from low-income families, providing them with scholarships to pay for school fees, uniforms and supplies in order to help them continue studying.

In 2004, E.S.P.E.R.E. has been raising funds for a particular project called "IT Workshop", aiming to finance the purchase of computers and computer-related material to enable the children to learn basic IT skills.
